Blake Koch headlined and was interviewed by Dr. Robert H. Schuller on the July 4th broadcast of “The Hour of Power”, the longest running church program on the airwaves today. "The Hour of Power" has been on the air for 39 years and is seen in 59 countries by over 3 million people around the world!
You might think that would make the 23-year-old NASCAR driver nervous, but he didn’t seem nervous. After all he was being interviewed by perhaps the most famous TV church evangelist in history! Blake told Dr. Schuller “…there are 75 million NASCAR fans and we are going to take God to them all.”
Blake explained to the international TV audience about the ministry of GodSpeaks NASCAR team. He explained how the GodSpeaks ministry team passes out t-shirts as witness tools at the races. The t-shirts feature the GodSpeaks slogans and are great conversation starters. They have the GodSpeaks slogans like “If you must curse, use you own name. –God” He explained that it is all intended to get people to go to GodSpeaks.com to hear about the love of God.
After the service at the Crystal Cathedral the entire congregation went outside for a picnic and autograph session, where the GodSpeaks NASCAR and 70 foot hauler were waiting. It marked the first time a 700 horse power NASCAR was on the Crystal Cathedral church grounds! Blake offered to take Dr. Schuller for a ride saying, “I think we can get pretty close to 200 mph in the parking lot.”
