When you accept Jesus as savior He forgives all sins past, present and future. In a sense you wouldn't have to ask for forgiveness again, but Christians should still as for forgiveness for sins they commit because the act of asking for forgiveness is humbling for us prideful sinners and brings us into closer relationship with Christ. In asking for forgiveness we are reminded of our dependence upon Christ and his perfect love and grace that lead him to go to the cross for us to begin with. So in a nutshell you don't need to ask for forgiveness but you will to be closer to Christ. Hope that helps. Welcome to our corner of the internet! Chat later.

No matter when a sin took place or will take place they are all covered under the blood of Christ when he died on calvary. This covers everything from a simple white lie to murder and other death row crimes. We as humans tend to judge the person as the crime or sin, but God's love for us took all of our sins past, present and future and put them upon Jesus on the cross. That way we as Christians can spread the word to everyone and not just a select few. So I agree whole heartedly with WBD's post and that the humbling of ourselves brings us closer to God and into a closer and stronger personal relationship. Be blessed.
